"Nurses Group Homecare” is seeking for an experienced Care Manager with a strong care background and a passion for high-quality care to join our Yeovil based Office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Care Manager seeking the next stage in their career to join the team and work towards becoming the Registered Manager. Whilst the Care Manager role is managerial, there will be an expectation to provide hands-on care when required.

The successful candidate will:

  • Due to the nature of the role, you must hold a fully valid UK driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Have a positive work ethic with a warm nature and good communication skills
  • Be prepared to be hands-on caring as well as managing
  • Have NVQ level 3 as a minimum but ideally NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • Have good knowledge of CQC guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Have experience of caring out care reviews and assessments
  • Have previous leadership and management experience

Job Duties

  • Assisting with the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of our client providing quality care to meet the client’s needs and outcomes.
  • You will work closely with the Registered Manager and take on the Management duties in their absence.
  • Undertaking the direct supervision and line management responsibilities of the domiciliary and live-in care workers as detailed by the Registered Care Manager
  • Ensuring that the care and support provided by care workers is of a continually high standard and supports the client in a person-centred and strength-based approach.
  • To assist in the initial assessments of new clients and ensure regular reviews of care plans and risk assessments are maintained.
  • Ensuring all aspects of the company business is in line with CQC guidelines and that continued CQC compliance is maintained.
  • Reporting any crucial issues to the senior management team in a timely and effective manner.
  • Being flexible to meet the needs of the service and cover care calls when the business requires
  • Recruiting and training new care staff

Ability to commute/relocate

  • Yeovil, BA22 8RN: Consistent commuting or a commitment to relocate prior to commencing work is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a Support Worker at Nurses Group Homecare include:

  • Prioritizing service users' wellbeing and incorporating their wishes and preferences into care delivery.
  • Contributing to the efficient functioning of the service.
  • Assisting service users in maintaining connections with the local community
  • Following care plans and ensuring accurate documentation of service users' needs.
  • Informing the office of any changes in service users' requirements
  • Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of individuals supported.
  • Building rapport with patients, families, colleagues, and healthcare facility staff.
  • Serving as a role model for other carers and representing the service positively.
  • Adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and fundamental standards.

"Nurses Group Homecare” are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Manager who possesses a strong working knowledge of adult social care and the requirements of the Care Quality Commission to oversee the delivery of high-quality care to our clients.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the safety and quality of the business
  • Be responsible for the safe delivery of the service in line with legislative requirements and company policy and procedures
  • Undertake training and development to keep up to date with the law, best practice and changes in company policy. Apply this knowledge to day to day management and delivery of care
  • Understand and monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field. Act as lead for infection prevention and control
  • Maintain full and accurate records and reporting systems in accordance with legal requirements and to ensure the effective running of the business
  • Implement quality management and improvement systems. Effectively manage complaints and incidents. Carry out investigations relating to the quality of the service and use findings to make improvements
  • Be prepared to work flexibly to ensure the safe delivery of the service
  • Promote the rights of each customer and keep their wishes at the centre of their care and support
  • Make sure that prior to each service commencing, a customer assessment and risk assessment with the customer, and/or their chosen representatives, has been completed including what the customer needs and would like to achieve from their care and support
  • Make sure a written individually tailored care and support plan has been created and agreed, that respects the customer’s wishes and promotes their dignity and privacy
  • Agree appropriate risk control measures to reduce identified risks
  • Provide the customer, and where appropriate their representatives, with information about the service so that they are clear about what to expect and how they can raise any concerns
  • Apply excellent communication skills with customers, their families and representatives, staff and other health and social care professionals to deliver high quality homecare services
  • Keep all information about customers and their families secure and confidential
